Event Services

As an integral part of the Student Union and Event Services department, Event Services schedules and manages the reservation of spaces in and around the Student Union. Additionally, the team schedules and manages reservations in many other indoor and outdoor spaces on the UConn Storrs campus. Event Services also provides onsite customer support and audio/visual services. The experienced staff is ready to provide guidance and suggestions to help ensure the success of your event.

News and Information from Event Services

The Student Union and Event Services department has received an unprecendented number of reservation requests this year. To best support the community, we will pause our intake of reservation request forms beginning at 4:30pm on Friday, September 13, 2024. We will resume accepting requests at noon on Thursday, September 19. At that time, we will resume the Reservation Request Schedule listed below.

Spaces managed by Student Union and Event Services:

  • Student Union Exterior Spaces:
    SU Terrace, SU North Patio, SU Fire Pit, the SU Mall/Lawn, etc.
  • Outdoor Spaces on the Storrs Campus:
    Fairfield Way spaces (e.g. Fairfield Way North/South, Husky Dog Circle, University Seal, etc.), CLAS Quad, Founder’s Green, Residential Life Outdoor Spaces, Lakes around campus, parking lots, roadways and streets, walkways and sidewalks, etc.
    • This includes 5K/Run/Walk and similar events on the Storrs Campus
    • This does not include Athletics Outdoor spaces, UConn Recreation Fields, or the Library Upper Plaza]

  • Reservation request forms are now being accepted for the 2024-2025 academic year for:
    • Student Union spaces
    • Outdoor spaces

      • Fall 2024 semester | Reservation requests will be accepted from Student Organizations beginning at 12pm on Tuesday, September 10, 2024
      • Spring 2025 semester | Reservation requests will be accepted from Student Organizations beginning at 12pm on Tuesday, February 4, 2025
    • Hawley Armory (Mat Room, Gym)
      • Fall 2024 semester | Reservation requests are currently being accepted
      • Spring 2025 semester | Reservation requests will be accepted from Student Organizations beginning Tuesday, December 3, 2024
    • Shippee Pequot Room
      • Fall 2024 semester | Reservations requests are currently being accepted
      • Spring 2025 semester | Reservation requests will be accepted from Student Organizations beginning Tuesday, December 3, 2024
